Knowing which is the best sunscreen for your skin type is more than just grabbing an SPF50 off the shelf of the drug store or clicking a product on Amazon.

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is the introduction of your body’s own platelets deep into the skin. This can be done on its own, through injections, or it can be as an addition to a microneedling treatment.

The Main Goal Of Botox

Natural Aging
Wrinkles and the tightening of muscles occurs naturally as you age. There are 43 muscles in your face and we will take care to target the area of your choice. Botox/Dysport is minimally invasive, so there will be no resulting scar. The most common possible downside is a small amount of bruising. It may take up to a week to notice the full effect. Botox/Dysport is not permanent- it generally lasts three to four months, after which time you may wish to receive a regular series of injections to maintain the results you have obtained.
Houston's Finest
If you would like to further discuss among the best Botox/Dysport the Houston area has available to treat wrinkles and fine lines throughout your face, we encourage you to schedule a consultation today. During that meeting, we will advise on whether or not you’re an ideal candidate, as well as compose a personalized treatment plan designed to achieve the smooth and relaxed look you desire.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.

What are the most popular cosmetic dermatology treatments?

A.

Injectables, such as Botox and Dermal Fillers, are some of the most common treatments, but there are many, many more. Chemical peels are very popular for improving skin texture and reducing blemishes, and microdermabrasion is a wonderful way to soften fine lines and reveal a fresher, younger appearance. Laser hair removal is often overlooked but is one of the most commonly carried out treatments in the US.

Q.

How old is too old to undergo treatment?

A.

As long as you’re healthy, you’re never too old. In fact, treatments such as dermal fillers actively stimulate the natural production of collagen, making it a great option for improving the health and look of the skin. There’s no reason that those in their 70s, 80s, or even their 90s shouldn’t take advantage of the latest cutting-edge procedures.

Q.

How long does Botox last?

A.

You can expect the effect of your BOTOX® treatment to last anywhere from 3 to 4 months.

Q.

Are cosmetic dermatology treatments, such as Botox, safe?

A.

Every procedure on offer at Bayou City Dermatology has undergone rigorous testing and is only carried out by board-certified dermatologists or under their direct supervision. So yes, they're safe.

Q.

How do I determine the treatment that is right for me?

A.

We only provide treatment following in-depth consultation with one of our board-certified dermatologists. That way we can understand your goals and discuss your options before a decision is made as to the treatment(s) that’ll provide you with the ultimate results.

Q.

What’s the difference between Botox and fillers?

A.

While both address lines and wrinkles, they work in different ways. Botox is successfully used on what’s called ‘dynamic’ wrinkles—in other words, ones that are caused by muscle movement (think frown lines, crow’s feet, etc.) Fillers are used to treat deeper lines, ones that are caused by a loss of plumpness in the face or sagging. As the name suggests, they essentially fill out the area beneath the wrinkles or lines, so adding fullness and volume.
